Frequently asked questions

How much does Botox cost?

Typically $10–$20 per unit in the US, so most visits total about $300–$500. Multiply your expected units by your clinic's per-unit price — or use the calculator on the home page.

How many units do most people need?

For the upper face, a combined forehead + frown-line + crow's feet visit commonly totals 50–64 units. Single small areas like a lip flip use only 4–8 units. Your provider confirms the count after assessment.

What areas have FDA-approved Botox doses?

Glabellar frown lines (20 units), crow's feet (24 units total) and forehead lines (in combination with the glabella) are FDA-approved cosmetic indications for Botox Cosmetic; underarm sweating is an approved medical indication for Botox. Other areas shown here use published typical ranges and may be off-label, which your provider should discuss with you.

How long does Botox last?

Commonly around 3–4 months for cosmetic areas, varying by area, dose, product and individual. Masseter bulk reduction is assessed over a longer window.

Is BotoxCalc medical advice?

No. It is an educational cost estimator only. Nothing here recommends treatment or a dose for any individual. Treatments should be performed by licensed providers only.

Is BotoxCalc free?

Yes — all calculators are free with no sign-up. A practitioner Pro tier at $39 one-time is planned and marked coming soon; no payment is collected.

Does BotoxCalc store my data?

No. Calculators run entirely in your browser and nothing you enter is sent to or stored on a server.

Which brands does the units calculator convert?

Botox (1:1), Dysport (about 2.5–3 units per Botox unit, adjustable), Xeomin (1:1) and Jeuveau (1:1). Brand names are trademarks of their owners; BotoxCalc is not affiliated with them.
